Client Portal Access self service

Client Portal Access

Overview

ChartCaddy allows clients self service access to limited amounts of their information stored in the system. ChartCaddy administrators first create a portal login for a client. Under certain circumstances a portal user may need access to more than one client, such as when a single guardian is responsible for more than one client in the system. Therefore more than one client can be assigned to a portal login. Providers and portal users can exchange system messages.

Administration

Portal logins are administered under the Settings main menu option. Portal login options are status, name, email address, and password. Portal login statuses are Active, Not Active, and Password Reset. If the status of the portal login is set to Not Active then the portal user can not log in. If the status of the portal login is set to Password Reset then the portal user must reset their login before they can log in. That way the administrator can assign an initial temporary password and use the Password Reset status to force the portal user to create their own password when they first try to log in.

Client Experience

To log in the portal user loads the portal page and enters their email address as their user name and the password supplied to them. The portal URL depends on the organization and is in the format https://www.chartcaddy.com/portal/<orgnick>/login where <orgnick> is the system nick name of the organization. The system nick name of the organization is displayed when a user is logged in near the bottom left of the screen.

Currently portal users have the following abilities:
  1. Able to view their profile and change their password.
  2. Able to send messages to their treatment team.
  3. View limited information on billable services performed.
  4. View payment information.
  5. View invoice information.
